Meet and Greet Consultation / Keys For first time clients, prior to scheduling a service with Prince William's Paws 4 Claws Pet Sitter, LLC, we will need to arrange a convenient time to meet with you and your pets. This allows everyone to become acquainted and for us to meet your pets and discuss their care requirements and answer any questions or address any concerns you may have.The meet and greet consultation fee is $25.00.
If your pet requires medication, this will need to be discussed at the meet and greet consultation. You will need to provide two (2) keys to your home at the meet and greet consultation.One (1) key will be maintained in the business office lockbox and the other key will be provided to the staff member who will be performing the pet sitting services.If keys are not provided at the meet and greet, a key pick up charge of $5.00 will apply.If only one (1) key is provided, we will get a copy of the key made and you will be charged for the cost of the key, plus the time involved in getting the key made.The hourly rate for getting a key made is $40.00 and a minimum charge of 15 minutes or $10.00 will apply. All keys are coded with an alpha-numeric code.Your name, pet's names, address, or telephone number will not be attached to your key. All clients will be enrolled in our "Ready Key" program, unless otherwise discussed.If you do not want to be enrolled in this program, please be advised a pick up/drop off charge of $5.00 will apply for each instance of obtaining your keys. We will no longer accept only a garage or access code as a way of entering your home.In the event the electricity in your home is not working, we will have no way to enter your home and care for your pets. Reservations / Scheduling Services For new clients (or clients who are not part of our Ready Key program), we ask you to provide a minimum of one (1) weeks notice for service requests. This will allow us time to schedule the meet & greet consultation, ensure we have adequate staffing, and/or acquire keys for your home. For current clients, all weekend and vacation service requires at least three (3) days advance notice.This will allow us to ensure adequate staff is available to care for your pets while you are away. Notes for Scheduling Services We are thrilled to now offer an online scheduling service.Please go to the following webpage/link to schedule service for your pets.Client Login For dogs, please note for vacation, holiday and weekend service we recommend a minimum of two (2) visits per day for dogs, three (3) visits per day is the preferred number of visits per day for most dogs. We will provide four (4) visits per day for dogs; however, we will charge the highest per visit/pet rate of $25.00 for the 4th visit in any given day of service. For cats, we recommend one (1) visit per day, unless medication is required and more than one visit is necessary.We no longer provide every other day care for cats. We will no longer provide service for clients who have friends, relatives, or other pet sitters caring for their pets at the same time we are also caring for your pets.This is called shared service and we do not share service with anyone other than employees or subcontractors of Prince William's Paws for Claws Pet Sitter, LLC.Sharing service is too much of a liability to our staff and our company and we will no longer provide this service. Prince William's Paws 4 Claws Pet Sitter, LLC requires all vacation clients to call our office at (703) 819-9028 upon your arrival home. Please note, service will terminate on the termination date (end of service date) provided by client when entering their service request.If Prince William's Paws 4 Claws Pet Sitter, LLC is not notified (within twenty-four (24) hours/for cats or within twelve (12) hours/for dogs) of Client's return home at the end of the service period, we will begin notifying the emergency contact listed on your profile and require this person to perform in-home visits until you arrive home safely.In the event your emergency contact is not available, we will provide additional visits using our emergency pet care rates. If you go on your vacation/holiday/weekend but return home earlier than scheduled from your vacation, holiday or weekend service, you will be charged for the full day of service upon which you returned.If additional days were scheduled, you will not be charged for these dates as long as proper notification is given. For example:If you scheduled a morning, mid-day, and evening service for a long weekend (Thursday through Sunday) and you return home before the mid-day service is performed on Saturday, you will be charged for all scheduled visits on Saturday, but will not be charged for any visits on Sunday as long as proper notification is given. Collars, Leashes, Tags and Supplies Clients are required to provide adequate collars and leashes for dogs.Please note, we do not recommend the use of retractable leashes for any dog. It is highly recommended that all pets wear appropriate ID tags.For your pet's safety and your peace of mind, we do recommend all pets be micro chipped. (This is not a requirement for service, but is very beneficial for everyone). While clients are away from home, you are required to provide an adequate amount of all necessary supplies, including; food, pickup bags, cat litter, towels, treats, cleaning supplies, medicine, collars, leashes and any other items necessary to provide consistent quality care for your pets.We prefer not to look through drawers, cabinets and closets for these items, so please leave these items where they are readily available to the pet sitter providing service. If it is necessary for us to purchase anything to provide quality care for your pet, you will be charged for the item purchased, plus the time involved in purchasing these items.The hourly rate for purchasing items is $40.00 and a minimum charge of 15 minutes or $10.00 will apply. Vaccinations All pets must be current on all required vaccinations for their pets.We reserve the right to refuse service if any pet is not appropriately vaccinated. Cancellations (PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE CANCELLATION POLICY) For vacation, holiday or weekend services/clients: At least seventy-two (72) hours notice for any cancellation must be provided.In the event proper notification is not provided, a cancellation fee of $50.00 or one (1) full day's service fee, whichever is greater, will be charged. If you go on your vacation/holiday/weekend but return home earlier than scheduled from your vacation, holiday or weekend service, you will be charged for the full day of service upon which you returned.If additional days were scheduled, you will not be charged for these dates as long as proper notification is given. For example:If you scheduled a morning, mid-day, and evening service for a long weekend (Thursday through Sunday) and you return home before the mid-day service is performed on Saturday, you will be charged for all scheduled visits on Saturday, but will not be charged for any visits on Sunday as long as proper notification is given. For regular mid-day clients: At least twenty-four (24) hours notice for any cancellation must be provided.In the event proper notification is not provided, a cancellation fee of $35.00 or the regular per visit fee, whichever is less, will be charged for the canceled visit. For clients who schedule two (2) or fewer mid-day services per week, you will be allowed one (1) cancellation per month without incurring a cancellation charge.All other cancellations will incur the cancellation fee of $35.00 or the regular per visit fee, whichever is less. For clients who schedule three or more mid-day services per week, you will be allowed two (2) cancellations per month without incurring a cancellation charge.All other cancellations will incur the cancellation fee of $35.00 or the regular per visit fee, whichever is less. Holidays Please visit this website link for current year holiday dates. Federal Holiday Schedule by Year For regular mid-day clients, if your regular mid-day service falls on one of the Federal Holidays, it is your responsibility to cancel the service for that dates in the online scheduling service. There will be a $25.00 fee in addition to regular per visit fees charged for services on the following holiday/holiday weekends: New Years Day/Eve, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day/Weekend, and Christmas Day/Eve. Please note this includes any portion of a holiday weekend. Subcontractors & Employees of Prince William's Paws 4 Claws Pet Sitter, LLC We are currently expanding our business and the use of subcontractors and/or employees has become a necessity. We perform an ADP background screening on all individuals working for our company. We will not allow any subcontractor or employee to enter your home without first going with them to meet your pets, show them where all necessary supplies are located and discuss all care requirements each pet may have.We will notify you in the event we need to bring a subcontractor or employee into your home. Each subcontractor or employee will be provided with one (1) copy of your house key (and home/garage code, if applicable) so they are able to enter your home and care for your pets.The 2nd key will remain in the lockbox in our office. Other Individuals with Access to Your Home We understand that you may have relatives, neighbors, cleaning or repair services that could have access to your home while you are away or at work. Prince William's Paws 4 Claws Pet Sitter, LLC is not responsible for any damages incurred to your home or pet by said persons or businesses. Please notify us if there will be anyone having access to your home while you are away. Unsecured Pets Prince William's Paws 4 Claws Pet Sitter, LLC will not be held responsible or liable for free-roaming outdoor pets or pets left in backyards.This includes pets that have access from their house to their backyard through a pet door. Invoicing/Payment Invoicing for regular mid-day clients is done each month on the last day of the month. Invoicing for vacation/holiday/weekend client service is done on the last day at completion of the service period performed. All payments are due Net 10 and are due to Prince William's Paws 4 Claws Pet Sitter, LLC within ten (10) days of receipt of the invoice. All invoices are sent via email.A valid email address is required for all clients. If it is necessary to send any invoice through regular postal mail, a minimum fee of $1.50 for postage and processing will apply. A 5% late fee will be applied for all payments not received within the ten (10) day payment term. Payment via cash, money orders or checks is accepted. Checks should be make payable to Prince William's Paws 4 Claws Pet Sitter, LLC.We reserve the right to refuse service for non-payment. Services which have been discontinued due to non-payment will resume as soon as payment is made. Return Check Charge Client agrees to pay a $32.00 fee for each check returned by the client's bank regardless of the reason.
